They were once one of Hollywood’s most unbreakable power couples, but Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney shocked the world when they announced the end of their engagement back in July.

Besides a few raw and emotionally vulnerable moments, Gaga, for the most part, has remained tight-lipped about the cause of their romance’s demise since.

Now, in a candid, tell-all interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the singer finally opens up.

“I think women love very hard,” the star says. “We love men. We just love with everything we have. And sometimes I don’t know that that love is met with the type of dignity that we wish it would be met with.”

“You know, we’re not trying to make you less of a man. We just want you to love us as deeply and as wholesomely and as fully as we love you.”

Many thought the couple would go the distance, but sadly, it was a case of Bad Romance.

The Poker Face hitmaker and her actor beau called time on their five-year relationship just over a year into their Valentine’s Day 2015 engagement.

In a rare Instagram post shortly after their break-up, the star kindly requested for fans to support the pair in their separate endeavours.

“Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,” the 30-year-old shared.

“We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared.

“Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”

In the same revealing interview, Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, opens up about a different kind of complicated relationship: the one she has with fame.

“I’m very acutely aware that once I cross that property line I’m not free anymore,” the blonde beauty begins. “As soon as I go out in the world I belong in a way to everyone else.”

“It’s legal to follow me. It’s legal to stalk me at the beach. I can’t call the police or ask them to leave, and I took a long hard look at that property line and I said ‘Well you know if I can’t be free out there, I’m going to be free in here,'” she finished, gesturing to her heart.

Through tears, the star goes on about how she yearns for the simplicity of striking up a conversation with a stranger.

“I miss people. I’m sorry,” she says, wiping her face. “I miss people. I miss going anywhere, and meeting a random person and saying hi and having a conversation about life. I love people.”
