Just last week, Kylie Minogue revealed she couldn’t wait to become Kylie Sasse.

But now, shock reports out of the UK claim her engagement to 29-year-old British actor Joshua Sasse is off.

“She is absolutely devastated, totally heartbroken. She really believed he was The One. But she no longer trusts him,” a source revealed to The Sun.

The Sun also claims the 48-year-old grew suspicious of Joshua’s relationship with his No Tomorrow co-star and Spanish actress, Marta Milans, 34.

After several heated arguments, the Aussie songstress is said to have thrown her husband-to-be out of her West London home.

As the sad news broke, the singer took to Instagram to confirm the split and thank fans for their support.

“Thank you for all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life. Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote alongside an image of the sky.

“We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons. #thesunalwaysrises.”

It was only last week that the Spinning Around hitmaker revealed she couldn’t wait to take her partner’s name.

“Sasse is a great name. Kylie Sasse is a great name. It’s a great stage name. Kylie Minogue has never exactly tripped off the tongue,” she told You Magazine.

“I’ll definitely be taking Sasse but there will be Minogue in there somewhere. Taking a different name makes a statement,” she added.

However, on closer inspection Joshua hasn’t appeared on Kylie’s Instagram page for nearly two months.

The Sun claims Kylie was concerned about Joshua’s relationship with his co-star Marta Milans.

The couple announced their engagement in February last year and Kylie was gifted with this epic sparkler.

During their romance, the couple were passionate advocates for marriage equality and vowed not to wed until gay marriage was legal in Australia.

Creating the “Say I Do Down Under” campaign, the pair proudly appeared at the ARIA Awards in Sydney in November.

“We are here to introduce a shining light in there Australian music industry, but we are also here to say thank you to everyone who supported Josh’s campaign for equality,” the singer explained as she took to the stage with her man.

“Thank you sweetheart. This is more than just a movement. This is people’s lives, and we want to say to every single member of the LGBT community – you are not alone.”

“You have a voice. If we all stand together, we can bring Australia back on the right side of history and make 2017 the year that we all say, “I do”, Down Under,” Josh added.

The pair had been campaigning tirelessly for marriage equality in Australia.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Kylie has previous confessed of Josh: “I go all gooey at the mention of him.”

As for their age difference, it never phased the Neighbours beauty.

“I think the general consensus is, we kind of look right together. So even though on paper it might not look right, it just is right,” she admitted on The Project.
