For years they’ve been plagued by rumours of infidelity and claims of a sham marriage. But things reached fever pitch for David and Victoria Beckham when allegations surfaced last week that David was having an affair with his six-year-old daughter Harper’s school teacher and had even gotten her pregnant!
The shock accusations emerged online and it wasn’t long before Twitter exploded.
Are these latest rumours the final straw for Brand Beckham?
One of the earliest tweets making the allegations came from Lee Mara, who shared, “Right apparently… David Beckham has got his daughter’s teacher pregnant & they are getting a divorce.”
And when someone asked how he knew this, he added, “Can’t say how I know…..but I know.”
While no one could be exactly sure where the gossip originated from, fans revealed their shock and heartbreak over David’s alleged actions.
Several people called the footballer “trash”, and others admitted they weren’t surprised. The talk was contained to social media, but speculation mounted among industry insiders that it could be the final straw for the couple have previously admitted that “marriage is difficult”.

At the same time, bookmaker Paddy Power stopped accepting bets on David, 43, and 44-year-old Victoria announcing their split, adding more fuel to the Twitter storm.
Then in an out of character move the Beckhams made a public statement — something they’ve not done since David rebutted accusations that he was having an affair with his personal assistant Rebecca Loos in 2003.
“This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time. There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news,” a spokesperson for the couple said, adding that the rumours were “a crock of s***”.
Meanwhile, the father of the teacher in question was also keen to shut the story down, branding the suggestion “nonsense”, adding, “My daughter has never even met him [David]. End of story.”
He told The Sun on Sunday, “This is ridiculous. We have no idea where it has come from. She is a very pretty, attractive girl and been linked to it by fake news.”

Now, the couple, who share four kids – Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, – seem determined to prove their relationship is rock solid by launching a charm offensive.
Almost straight after the allegations broke Posh hit back by posting an Instagram photo with Harper in her school uniform. “Morning cuddles x So much love We love and miss u @davidbeckham,” she wrote in the caption.
And in the days following the scandal, the footballer and the Spice Girl turned fashion designer — who are normally apart more than they are together — continued to play happy families on social media.
Victoria shared loved up photos from the Kent & Curwen fashion show, although the married couple had strangely arrived at the event in London separately. It was David and Victoria’s first public appearance together since the allegations surfaced.
The Beckhams launched a charm offensive to show everything is fine.
While the Beckhams say they were shocked by the rumours, it’s not the first time David has been linked to other women. Victoria looked notably frosty at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding last month, following reports David has spent the previous evening partying at Soho Farmhouse with two socialites.
David Beckham’s most recent social post shows him surrounded by his family. “All about families and memories,” the former footballer captioned the snap.
Meanwhile, his relationship with Lady Mary Charteris is said to have caused tension with his wife and their ex-nanny Abbie Gibson has previously alleged he wanted “to split”, claiming Victoria was heartbroken over his affairs with other women.
The most notorious claim though is from his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos who declared she’d had an affair with the footballer in Spain. Although David didn’t categorically deny the claims, he called them “ludicrous”.
“The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids,” he said at the time.
“There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts.”
But with mounting fears that their marriage is in trouble, and with David setting up home in Miami, some believe this could be the final straw for brand Beckham. “It’s painfully obvious to their friends that David and Victoria aren’t happy with the way things have been going,” a source adds.
