The cast of American Horror Story: Roanoke were in Los Angeles promoting their latest season, but it was the drama that unfolded on stage that had onlookers perplexed.
While actress Sarah Paulson was greeting her co-star Kathy Bates, for some unknown reason Cuba Gooding Jr. felt compelled to lift up Sarah’s dress from behind her.
When the Golden Globe winner noticed his bizarre antics, she screamed and pushed him away.
Cuba’s erratic behaviour had many boggled.
The pair are the stars of Ryan Murphy’s hit drama American Horror Story.
The pair seemed to be civil for the remainder of the discussion, however after seeing footage and photos of Cuba’s actions, fan were quick to express their alarm.
“Sarah is the only one who can answer that, since it happened to her. A planned publicity stunt, or grace under humiliation?” One user penned.
Another remarked, “FYI the reason @MsSarahPaulson is smiling is bc @MsKathyBates, then screams out of shock at the disrespectful actions of @cubagoodingjr”
There were a few that defended the 49-year-old actor, quipping, “Hate to break it to ya snowflake, but the only one allowed to complain is Sarah Paulson.”
But the overwhelming reaction towards the actor’s antics were shock and outrage.
So far, neither party have commented.
The duo, who are currently portraying a husband and wife on Ryan Murphy’s hit show, took out the 2016 award season for their work together in The People vs. OJ Simpson.
Sarah scored an Emmy for her portrayal of the attorney Marcia Clark.
