The distinctive features of many Hollywood A-listers are part and parcel of their star appeal – after all, who could mistake Brad Pitt’s chiseled jawline or Elizabeth Taylor’s famed violet eyes?
However, we’ve noticed that quite a few stars in Tinseltown share more than a passing resemblance to each other – and for some of these celebrity duos, the similarities are downright uncanny!

While appearing on the Late, Late, Show earlier this week, Harry Potter‘s Rupert Grint said he still gets mistaken for Ed Sheeran. “It’s kind of 50/50 now,” he told host James Corden. “It’s like [when] someone stops me, it could go either way. I could be Ed or I could be me.” Even other celebrities get the pair confused. “Leo Sayer [the singer], he came up to me and said he loved my music, of course thinking I was Ed,” Rupert recalled. “And I play along.”
Bryce Dallas Howard and Jessica Chastain starred alongside each other in The Help in 2011, and it’s a wonder no one got them completely confused (although Jessica’s platinum-blonde do in that flick certainly helped).
Who knew Harry Potter and Frodo Baggins would end up looking the same? Daniel Radcliffe says that he has even signed autograph as “not Elijah Wood” in the video on the next slide.
