Brad Pitt is officially out of hiding.

Fresh from his GQ tell-all, the actor has gifted us another insight into his post-divorce life and mindset.

Speaking to The Associated Press as he promotes his new film War Machine, Brad addressed his drinking problem but said he’s in a good place now.

“I’ve got no secrets. I’ve got nothing to hide. We’re human and I find the human condition very interesting. If we’re not talking about it, then we’re not getting better,” he explained to the news outlet.

While he and Angie are working together “figuring out the new configuration of our family [and] keeping the ship afloat.”

“‘Kids are everything. Kids are your life. They’re taking all the focus, as they should anyway,” the 53-year-old mused of his six children.

Despite the rough chapter in his life, Brad insists he’s doing just fine.

“I’m not suicidal or something. There’s still much beauty in the world and a lot of love. And a lot of love to be given. It’s all right. It’s just life.”

He’s just so poetic!

Of course, Mr Pitt also opened up about his new Netflix film and revealed he has quite a lot in common with his character – army general Glen McMahon, who serves in Afghanistan.

“Hubris is a trap and it’s the trap of every great nation that has been number one for too long. You start believing your own stink. Anytime I’ve gotten in trouble, it’s because of my own hubris.”

Brad plays army general Glen McMahon in War Machine. Side note: How good are his peroxide blonde locks?

Brad also confessed that he much prefers producing films as opposed to acting in them.

“I feel myself as I’m older gravitating more to the producing side than being in front of the camera,” he said.

“It’s a big commitment, a film, and it does take you away from your family. I just have to balance that. It’s not less important, itself, it’s just not as important as family. [War Machine] I loved because it’s after something and we don’t know where we’re going to end up. It’s a delicate tightrope to walk.”

Meanwhile Brad’s ex-wife Angelina Jolie has been spotted enjoying a low-key Mother’s Day dinner with her son 13-year-old Pax in Los Angeles, California.

The pair headed to TAO Asian Bistro for a bite to eat however there were no sign of the couple’s five other kids.

Angie and her son Pax enjoyed a mother-son bonding dinner in LA on Sunday, May 14.
