Steve Smith has gone for six!
The cricketing great has popped the question to his girlfriend Dani Willis.
Making it a fairytale proposal, the 28-year-old asked his partner the big question, fittingly, in the big apple – New York.
Steve revealed he was very traditional with his bid to make the law student his wife.
Taking to Instagram, he penned, “Today I got down on one knee and @dani_willis said YES.”
Steve and his 26-year-old future Mrs were pictured beaming in a selfie taken at Top of the Rock.
Dani shared the same snap, musing, “The beginning of forever!”
The couple have been together for five years.
The newly engaged duo, who’ve been dating for five years, having been indulging in a whirlwind overseas adventure.
So far they’ve been to the Czech Republic, Monte Carlo and America.
Steve made his test debut in 2010 for Australia against Pakistan at Lords.
These days, he’s regarded as one of the best players on the field, taking over from Michael Clarke as captain in 2015.
