The much-loved and adored Rebecca Gibney, or better known as Julie Rafter, hits the half-century mark on Sunday and she looks better than ever.

Having graced our television screens for over 25 years, the mother of two has done it all.

It turns out before the New-Zealand born star decided to go into acting she worked as a model.

And after six long and successful years on Seven’s popular Packed to the Rafters, the Gold Logie winner is now set to return to our lounge rooms again next year as a lead detective in a compelling new telemovie, The Killing Field.

To celebrate Rebecca’s big milestone, we take a look back at her top 10 defining moments.

In 1991 Rebecca hit out screens in the much loved Australian sitcom, “All Together Now” with Johnny English.

Between 1994-2002 Rebecca became a household name as the titular character in “Halifax f.p”

Rebecca Gibney, Craig McLachlan, Jon Stevens and Jo Beth Taylor starred in the 1991 stage production of ‘Happy Days: The Arena Mega Musical.’

At the 2001 Logies, Rebecca debuted then boyfriend and now husband, Richard Bell.

Rebecca was proud, partaking in the 2006 Commonwealth Games baton run.

She was the 2009 TV Week Gold Logie winner!

She is loved by her co-stars and peers!

She positioned herself as one of the countries finest actresses, starring in the new show “The Killing”.
