Whether we’re coveting her signature bold lip or asking for the “Amal arch” at the brow-bar, every time Amal Clooney steps foot on the red carpet, we’re taking notes. Thankfully, Amal’s latest red carpet look needs no guess-work because the human rights lawyer’s go-to make-up artist, Charlotte Tilbury has listed everything she used to create her radiant look. And, you can buy them all in Australia!

In her first public appearance since giving birth to twins Alexander and Ella on June 6, Amal Clooney shut-down the red carpet of the premiere of her husband George Clooney’s new film Suburbico, at the 74th Venice Film Festival.

The new mum and humanitarian was resplendent in a lilac Atelier Versace gown, and glimmering Lorraine Schwartz jade, coral, sapphire and diamond earrings. Amal’s usually long locks were whipped into a curled, shoulder-grazing faux-bob, complementing her glamorous old Hollywood beauty look, which boasted thick lashes and a deep red lip.

Celebrity make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury worked her magic on Amal, who until now had been keeping a low-profile, acclimatising to life as a new mum.

“So much fun getting the mesmerising Amal Clooney ready for the red carpet,” wrote Tilbury on Instagram.

To achieve Amal’s jaw-dropping look, Tilbury used her own make-up and skincare line — specifically, the Hollywood collection.

Tilbury started with a luminous base of full coverage, SPF15 Magic Foundation, then a dab of The Retoucher concealer to hide any signs of 3am feeds. Full Fat Lashes mascara gave Amal dramatic flutter (we’re assuming some false lashes helped too), while two colours created her romantic ruby lips; Matte Revolution luminous modern-matte lipsticks in ‘The Queen,’ and ‘Love Liberty’.

New parents Amal and George have been enjoying their return to Venice, were they famously wed in 2014. On Saturday night they enjoyed a romantic dinner for two, arriving of course by boat.

The actor, 56, and human rights lawyer, 39, were snapped leaving their hotel arm-in-arm before boarding a water taxi on the canal. It’s understood they dined at the Hotel Daniele, where they said their nuptials three years ago.

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, George praised his wife, saying much of the parenting props go to her.

“She’s like an Olympic athlete,” he said. “She’s doing so beautifully.”
